morning coffee and poetry ::

Somewhere, there are people to whom we speak with passion
without having the words catch in ...our throats.
Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us,
eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us
whenever we come into our own power.
Community means strength that joins our strength
to do the work that needs to be done.
Arms to hold us when we falter.
A healing circle.
A circle of friends.
Someplace where we can be free.

 ~ Starhawk, Dreaming the Dark

Thank you for being part of my circle.

senses shared
taste: morning waking
seea sister's heart, dreams coming alive
hear: a sister's soul
touch: this moment.
think: it is all about intention, and feeling as if ...
feel: as if ...
read:  Dreaming Back my Sisters ...

I am dreaming back my sister's
Whisper-worn footfalls on the Temple steps
Skywalkers
Storm dwellers
Heavy-breasted cauldron keepers
Songweavers
Snake sisters
Darkmoon dancers

Labyrinth builders
Star bridgers
Fiery-eyed dragon-ryders
Wind seekers
Shape shifters
Corn daughters

Wolf women
Earth stewards
Gentle-handed womb sounders
Dream spinners
Flame keepers
Moon birthers

Come home sisters, come home.

hear: the tinkling of my necklace
    touch: his kiss on mine
think: these are quite the weird dreams i'm having
feel: transition may really be happening
read: hunger games. possibly igniting the stranger than my normal strange dreams.

  6. Love the new look. Love that poem. And I am loving this senses shared...so many times my senses create havoc but here is a place where they are valued:)
See: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
Feeling: Validated, tearful, upset, happy, and needing to share.
    hear: My life
think; I wish everyone could see this movie! What a beautiful story of human experience AND it's autism awareness month which means I can blog about having Asperger's syndrome more often:)

  7. These two quotes are redemptive. I Love - "voices will celebrate with us
whenever we come into our own power."

    Read: "Through our thanks, we honor all possibilities, while bringing the ones we choose to this world." Secrets of the Lost Mode of Prayer {wonderful book!}
hear: the stillness of night with a tiny noise coming from the fridge
    see: lamp casting warm light
smell: remnants of my first incense burned
touch: the wet cuff on my sweatshirt from the bathing boy's extra big splashes
    feel: hopeful, slightly tentative, calm

Please be respectful in your words. I am on a journey and this is a glimpse of it. I do not engage in debating nor do I choose to spend my energy defending what I write.
